    Tap the Share icon (the square with an up-arrow) at the bottom of the Safari toolbar, then scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.

Common questions

Is this the same as the App Store / Play Store version?

Kaala Lagna is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You install it directly from your browser — no store account, no download queue, no review delay. The installed app uses the same engine as the website and updates instantly when we ship.

Will I get notifications for Tithi / Nakshatra reminders?

Yes — both iOS (16.4+) and Android support Web Push. After you install the app, the first reminder you create will ask permission to send notifications. The notification fires on the correct day even when the app is closed.

Can I uninstall it?

Of course. On iOS, long-press the icon → Remove App. On Android, long-press → Uninstall (or App info → Uninstall). Your account and saved charts stay safe — sign in from any browser to pick up where you left off.

Does it work offline?

Cached pages — the daily Panchangam, monthly Tamil calendar, and your most recently viewed charts — stay readable without a connection. Asking the AI astrologer or computing a new chart still requires the internet.

Why isn't it on the App Store / Play Store?

A native store listing duplicates the same engine, adds a 15–30% platform cut, and adds days of review every time we ship a change. The PWA route keeps Credits cheaper, lets us iterate faster, and gives you exactly the same experience — full-screen, push reminders, offline cache.
